I just finished reading SSG for about the third time, I wanted to email you, because, though I am sure you get this a lot, I am starting to write again and I had some questions for you. I love this book, it is tied for my favorite with Beach Music. Thank You.

Just came back from my beach vacation in Gulf Shores, AL. I always bring a book to read and was so happy that I brought SSG along. I just couldn't put it down. I finished it about the same time as my vacation ended and now can't wait to read other books you've written. Thank you for writing about "girlfriends" and their importance in our lives.

Dear Cassandra: Since I've been having some difficulty finding some good reading material this summer, I decided to re-read TSW and I'm so glad I did. Loved it as much as the 1st time I read it and once again, didn't want it to end. Pls. write a sequel to it. Would love to know if Dean succeeded going for her Master's after leaving that t-a Ben, and how her relationship with that great guy Maddox went. I'd love to meet a guy just like him. Love your writing. Angela!

angela, i've gotten a lot of emails like yours about maddox--my favorite was an older woman who said she wished she could meet maddox's grandfather--ha! i made him up but do know lots of sweet guys like him, including my husband and my sons.

I just finished The Same Sweet Girls - the first novel of yours that I read & what a wonderful read it was! I laughed & cried as I thought of my group of girls from college - I look forward to reading everything you write!

Hi Cassandra, I was given Sunday Wife last year and finally got around to starting it yesterday.... also finishing it yesterday! Have been struggling with my concentration and haven't read a book in 5 years but I couldn't put it down, I cried and laughed... which was embarrassing as I was on a plane!! Many thanks for bringing back the joy of reading for me, I really appreciate it. Jewels from Aus!

yours has to be one of my favorite emails, julie, and here's why: i write because i love to read, always have. if i can make just one person rediscover reading, then it's worth it.

I just LOVE your books. I am from Mobile, AL, so I can really relate to the areas ie, Daulphin Island, Fairhope, etc. You really know that culture!!! I was introduced to your books by one of my best friends, who I lost to ovarian cancer, last year. She LOVED Sunday Wife, and that book will always be special to me for that reason. I will continue reading your books, because your writing style. You are fabulous!!!

I wanted to answer Sandra Meyer's question. It doesn't matter which one you start with, they are all good. My favorite is "The Sunday Wife". I loved that book. I've read it twice now.
Cassandra, I am still awaiting your visit to Sarasota again.
I'm still dying to meet you!!

Hi Cassandra. I was trying to find info on your elusive husband. I've been an ardent reader of his books - constantly wondering if he'll write more than one every 10 years! True, an exaggeration, but it feels like that, or worse. I'd given up asking around, looking on the best seller list, etc. Finally looked on the web & found you. You and your books sound like me- a strong, independent woman of - must I say it - later years? One question - which of YOUR books should I read first?
Fri, Aug 1, 2008 18:28 pm 963
no exaggeration when you consider it's been 14 yrs since 'beach music', but you'll be glad to know that he has a new book of fiction coming out august '09. he refuses to have a website that's why he's hard to find on internet. later years? no no honey i'm pat's trophy wife.
